Prime Minister Modi reaches Ukraine today, where he is expected to stay for almost 7 hours including 10 hours of train journey with high security protections. Modi is the first Indian PM to visit to Ukraine after the formation of Soviet Union and also after the war started in 2022.

The Indian side provided no information about the PM’s schedule in Ukraine, for security purpose of visiting an active war prone zone. Modi has asserted that his visit to the war prone country will give an “opportunity to deepen the India- Ukraine friendship”. “We will also share perspectives on the peaceful resolution of the ongoing Ukraine conflict. As a friend and partner, we hope for an early return of peace and stability in the region” said Modi on X.

Arriving at the capital of Ukraine Kyiv PM met Indian diaspora and received warm welcome: “Reached Kyiv earlier this morning. The Indian community accorded a very warm welcome”, said Modi on X. Narendra Modi shall be having discussions with Ukraine President Zelenskyy in both individual and delegation levels directing to the negotiation resolution of Russia-Ukraine conflict.
